Compost screening for high quality organic fertilizers

Quality separation and maximum yield in small spaces

Ecostar has developed specific solutions for the biogas sector, which has been a rapidly growing sector in recent years. Ecostar’s technology is capable of guaranteeing maximum efficiency, flexibility, and compactness in the screening of organic material, green compost, and in the screening of high quality compost, even in the case of material that is wet or mixed with plastic parts.

Compost and the importance of the screening process

When screening compost, the difficulties are caused by either the presence of plastics or the variability of the material, from high humidity to high volume, up to low density. This makes screening compost a difficult task, as the material tends to stick and clog the traditional screens. With Ecostar dynamic screens, thanks to the patented discs and the anti-clogging system, the material flows over the discs and the separation of the fractions is optimized. This results in an increase in screening quality and a net reduction in maintenance interventions. The final product is an homogeneous material for a high quality compost that can be used in the agricultural sector.

The advantages of Ecostar solutions

Both stationary and mobile Ecostar screens can process dry or wet compost, guaranteeing productivity of up to +300% compared to traditional screens and can reach a production capacity of up to 100 T/H. Moreover, thanks to the innovative anti-wrapping and anti-clogging technology which all Ecostar screening solutions are equipped with, the need for cleaning and maintenance interventions is drastically reduced.

The best technology for compost screening

DDS (Dynamic Disc Screening) is Ecostar’s patented technology particularly efficient for the processing of compost. The efficiency of DDS enables us the use of smaller electric motors, that is, just 7.5 kW up to 20 t/h, and savings up to 70% on energy consumption compared to traditional screens.
