Ecostar opens the office in India to support the country in waste disposal and recycling.

Ecostar, global player in the mechanical separation of waste and recyclable material industry, announces the official opening of its new office in India, Ecostar Screens India Pvt Ltd.

Ecostar has been present in India with its Dynamic Disc Screens since 2012, when the first stationary screen Hexact was included in the recycling process in an MSW for RDF plant in Gujarat. Today the Ecostar screening systems are successfully working in recycling plants in 12 states, thus the opening of a new office to best support local clients is a natural step.

The new office is located in Navi Mumbai and will serve as base for Ecostar’s employees together with a showroom and a 600 sqm spare parts warehouse to allow customers to experience the Dynamic Disc Screening technology first-hand and enjoy prompt customer service.

“India is keen on working in solving its waste emergency and we are pleased to have been able to contribute to its ambitious objectives so far. With the new office, we look forward to helping operators get their best out of their recycling process and projects through our screening solutions and contribute to a more sustainable environment”, says Filippo Cappozzo, CEO Sales & Marketing Ecostar.

Landfills and plastic waste are two of the most pressing issues when it comes to India’s climate crisis that generate methane which, released into the atmosphere, causes pollution, odours, and consequently, a poor quality of life for its citizens. The country is putting a lot of effort into solving the waste problem through various initiatives, and public and private companies are taking the necessary steps to contribute to a healthier environment. Ecostar’s 2 and 3 screening fraction solutions have proved to be a beneficial choice in treating both MSW from landfills and plastic waste, and today more than 50 machines are treating waste in recycling plants in India.

Ecostar’s new office in Navi Mumbai brings the company’s expertise in managing complex municipal solid waste closer to Indian operators. This local presence will enable prompt consultancy and operational support to Indian recyclers through Ecostar’s innovative stationary and mobile screening solutions” – Prashant Talmale, Head of Sales, Ecostar Screens India.

Ecostar was founded in 1997 in Italy aiming at contributing to a more efficient recycling industry, by recovering and enhancing the value of waste and recyclable materials. Since its founding, the company has developed and registered 5 technological patents from which have been developed the main technologies featured on both the mobile and stationary screening solutions.
